25 April 2024 within the framework of the Visegrad Project «Forecasting factors influence on climatic changes as a part of Sustainable Development Goals 2030» was held an online scientific seminar on the topic «Methodology of integral assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions».

The project team from the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» includes: Prof. Valentyna Marchenko, Prof. Alla Hrechko, Assoc. prof.  Nataliia Kuzminska, Assoc. prof. Oksana Kavtysh, presented the developed methodology for an integrated assessment of the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions based on the calculation of composite indices of local potentials.

Partner universities from EU countries provided an overview of existing methods for assessing greenhouse gas emission reductions developed by scientists and experts in their countries.

The event was joined by more than 120 students from different faculties, including students of technical specialties. Participants and guests actively discussed the challenges of climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and possible methods for assessing the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
